Obviously, Mac owners have been treated to AAA games before from EA, with the Dragon Age games, Call of Duty 4, World of Warcraft and Starcraft II all being made available for them to enjoy. Valve’s Mac OS support has been ongoing for some time now, with a large range of titles to choose from and for some existing Mac owners, there’s little.

This wasn't happening on my iP5 when I updated to 8 but since I got my 6+, I keep getting popup notifications when I wake the phone up about various apps that are using location services in the background. If you follow the 'settings' prompt, it just takes you to the location services setting where the app can be set to ALWAYS or NEVER.

Well yeah, I know I have LS enabled for these apps. I can't figure out how to disable this message or why it suddenly started happening.

It's worth noting that it's notifying me of apps that I've recently used and those that haven't been used in weeks. Also background refresh is off. Anyone else getting this? Click to expand.Always means it can run in the background. Swiping apps away does not close them. It resets them.

A hard reset. If you have background app refresh on they will run. If you have it off the system will sleep apps after a set time.

If they don't sleep it will force them to. Swiping apps away is a waste of effort and time only useful it an app freezes or won't fucntion and needs to be restarted. Set the location service to only when in use (not available for all app) or turn off background app refresh for that app (or all apps) and the nag will go away.

Right, I get that. I only chose 'settings' the first time it happened, after that it's continue.

I don't think I've seen the notification about the same app twice but bloody hell, I've got hundreds of apps on my phone and I guess I'm gonna see a nag for each one that uses location services. I just don't get the point of the nag is all. Location service is an explicit option for each app so as a user, I should know which ones are using it and which aren't. I guess they built it in for the twits who don't know an app from a. Right, I get that. I only chose 'settings' the first time it happened, after that it's continue. Click to expand.I was suprised by it too but I'm guessing it's just because of the iOS upgrade if we want to talk about annoying lets talk about the tips app! My beliefe is if you need a tips app popping up now and again (turned mine off in notification) then you haven't designed the system properly. You are making up for things you couldn't simplify so they are self explanitory and natural.

In effect you chose the easy path to design. But that's just me with my ever so high standards for things haha.
